In the gym people have to motivate themselves. It can be hard to come up with their own routines and diets, unless they hire a costly personal trainer. If the person was so disciplined they would be going to the gym for regular workouts already and not to just be there for their New Year resolution. Most likely quitting the gym shortly after enrolling.
