![]() This class is for anyone who... wants to try something a little different with fitness, or if your looking to get into playing roller derby and need a good starting point, or Roller Derby Pro wanting to increase your skill/fitness levels, plyometric, endurance, hitting techniques (bags are used as human dummies) and a whole lotta fun! The most original workout ever made, used in conjunction with 150 lb. heavy bags, and body shield units!!! . In May of 2010 I was 190+lbs and had no roller skating experience, but I wanted to play roller derby more than anything. So, I finally got the nerve to invest in a pair of $80 skates and give it a try. I quickly realized I LOVE skating, and I was REALLY bad at it. Not only was I bad at skating, my body was in no shape to be the kind of skater I wanted to be, let alone do the things I demanded my body to do...like, stay upright. I wasn't even able to pass my initial skating skills test to become a derby girl, but the one thing I do have is determination! Starts June 7th, Fridays 7pm - Saturdays 2pm -Sundays 2pm

So is this derby class for beginners?? Would live to try this but have not been in a pair of skates in at least 10 years!!!
