Kathryn trained with us years ago at our earlier club. Sparring was her main interest. Kathryn had moved out of town and when she moved back in 2023, we were lucky that she would join the staff here. From her very first class, it was clear she had found her calling. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to mastering this discipline through travel and intensive training, attending specialized classes, seminars, and workshops across the country. Her commitment to growth has even led her to compete in local events and play key roles in amateur and professional fights—from assisting with fighter preparation to coordinating events.

A Natural Leader and Teacher

Long before Kathryn began teaching her own classes, her potential as a leader and motivator was evident. One memorable moment was when she helped lead Smash Hit’s kickboxathon for Friendship Circle’s annual Walk4Friendship. Her ability to inspire and connect with others shone brightly that day. Speaking with authenticity and a motivating tone, Kathryn’s leadership style struck a perfect balance between command and encouragement. It was clear she had a gift for teaching and connecting with others.

Her diverse interests—including years spent participating in roller derby leagues across the country and her love of roller skating—highlight her multifaceted approach to life and fitness. These experiences enrich her teaching style, offering students a unique perspective that combines discipline, creativity, and fun.
